Cresta Coffee grounds planters

99.8% of a coffee bean is turned into coffee grounds, and Taiwan produces around 300,000 tonnes of this waste every day. Most of this waste is sent to landfills, producing greenhouse gas methane that contributes to the effects of global warming. Therefore, the negative effects of untreated coffee grounds and other waste decomposition are reduced by recycling.

The CRESTA planters are made from coffee grounds, and to allow the user to take better care of the plants, a decomposable twine is used to divert the water to the bottom of the pot, allowing the plant roots to absorb the water better.

The upper and lower molds are pressed to simulate the shape, to improve the flow, and mix with more water, which increases the setting time, thus creating a unique texture for each pot, and the irregular texture also looks like a rusted metal object.

The material used in coffee grounds planters is biodegradable and can be placed in the soil to decompose when not in use or used as a transplanting pot, providing the nitrogen, magnesium, and potassium nutrients contained in coffee grounds, or crumbled up in small quantities and placed around the plants as a fertilizer.
