Elegy for the Arctic/王妤文

北極悲歌這張椅子是受一名義大利鋼琴家在挪威斯瓦巴群島的冰川 環繞下的演奏所啟發，試圖引發大眾對於北極生態環境的重視。而 北極悲歌則是希望透過視覺及感官的衝擊，以顛覆印象的玻璃及金 屬鋁材結合，透過其在視覺上的不安全感，和鋁材構成的幾何線條 ，達到坐感不適的印象，試圖傳達北極動物的棲地，抑是遭受自然 環境變異被無情剝奪，而長期處在惶惶不安之中。也希望藉此讓坐 者、觀者，能對於生態保育有更深的省思、感受。

I hope to communicate through this chair how special and how fragile the Artic environment is, and how Global warming makes life tough for already at-risk polar bear to those who have not yet had the opportunity to have a deeper understanding of the Artic. This chair was designed to pay tribute to Ludovico Einaud, an Italian musician performed his own composition, on a floating platform in the Arctic Ocean in front of the Wahlenbergbreen glacier in Svalbard, an archipelago in Norway.
