永椅／周天亮

百大經典名椅中，造型不乏A、Y、X等字母，而東方呢？什麼又能代表我們的設計語彙，屬於我們文化？

結合明朝圈椅、書法——「永字八法」，去除傳統東方的繁文縟節、雕龍畫棟的裝飾。 且參考青銅器之「三足鼎立」，去蕪存菁地保留椅子的骨幹，靠背沿著脊椎曲線向下延伸，滿足人體工學之餘，也具揮毫之遒勁。 造型著重於雙曲度圈形扶手，ㄧ改傳統單一平面的圓，向前延伸至前腳，上細下粗的造型，承載東方的穩重，也滿足書法之ㄧ撇ㄧ捺。 期望能與「永」字一般，在傢俱中，擁有最精鍊的筆畫，極簡而永恆。

Combining the Ming Dynasty armchair and calligraphy, Eight Principles of “Yong” (永).Eternity also refer to the famous bronze vessels in ancient, which only have three legs to support the weight and structure.Additionally, the chair spine is extended to meet the ergonomics and shows the elegance of stokes in calligraphy.Removing the traditional decoration of the appearance makes Eternity minimal and eternal in the furniture history.
